The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
What's going on with any/all of this fucked up trio?! I'm partial to weird and complicated Tuco/Blondie and even more complicated, possibly nonconsensual Angel Eyes/Blondie. I'm not sure what Tuco's relationship with Angel Eyes is, I'd like to read about your ideas on that.They obviously all know each other... how did that happen? Feel free to play in the space!
I ranted about this extensively in the letter before this one, but: I love supernatural themes in this fandom! Is Blondie human? He seems like he'd prefer not to be. There are borderline supernatural elements in the movie already (such as the carriage of spirits appearing just in time to rescue Blondie, in keeping with his incredible good luck). Has one or more of the three already died and come back wrong? Blondie and Tuco flirt with killing each other multiple times and somehow never do; have their lives become intertwined in such a way that they literally can't kill each other? Go wild!
Death Rides a Horse
I love this movie and these characters. The contrasts in Bill's character depending on who he's dealing with; he'll go out of his way to help someone he just met, like the cheated gambler, and he's polite in his first meeting with Ryan despite the other's.. weird vibes. And then he goes into a trauma rage killing frenzy when he confronts any of the people responsible for killing his family. He's very human. *slaps him like that car salesman meme* big strong farm boy can fit so much trauma in him! And I love Ryan. He's so cagey! He goes to such efforts to keep Bill at a distance but always comes to the rescue when he's needed! He'd do anything for Bill but he absolutely will not explain anything (until he is forced to)! They're so intense and so laser focused on each other and fight side by side with each other, and fight each other. And there's so much trust there even with Bill almost shooting Ryan. And Ryan would have let him! And he doesn't! I love them. Anything you want to write for them I would be happy to read. Adventures that could have happened before the finale in canon, or meeting again post-canon, canon divergence, what ifs, slash or gen. To borrow a prompt I was excited about for Trick-or-Treat exchange, feel free to make it spooky as well, where Bill and/or Ryan is some sort of ghost or revenant.
Buffalo Boots
I love the dynamic here, especially the Soldier, he's just such a chill dude. The PTSD also gave him superhuman powers of not being phased by literally anything and he uses this power to just hang out, make friends anywhere he goes, and try to get himself a decent meal maybe. I love that the King clearly likes him and sort of pranks him with the surprise reveal at the end to get even with all the Soldier's good-natured teasing.
This is a short story with no fics on here so far, so I would love to see anything! What are their names? Is the Soldier just like this with everyone and/or is he flirting with the King a bit? How oblivious or aware is the King? What is their relationship like post-canon? Does the King sometimes come out in disguise and just hang out and go drinking with his pal the Soldier? Does he not, but wish he could? Does the Soldier come to the castle? What led to the King being lost in the woods in disguise?? How did the Soldier learn magic???
