DNW: non-canonical under 16 sex, noncon within a requested pairing (not against noncon generally), unrequested trans headcanons or gender-dysphoria-heavy stuff, feminization, scat/watersports, sexy roleplaying, lots of dirty talk, dramatic misunderstandings as a major plot device, body parts freezing solid and breaking off (I have run into this extremely specific squick twice too many times in my life already lol). Death Rides a Horse:
An excellent fit for this exchange! I've requested it every exchange I've been in (I started doing exchanges last yuletide) and have been delighted to often receive gifts. I always am happy to get more! I just love Ryan and Bill so much. It's Bill's fascination with Ryan, and chasing after him when he doesn't want to team up. It's Ryan's unspoken devotion to Bill, trying to avoid him but always coming back to help him when needed, willing to even let Bill kill him. It's that scene where they just stare intensely at each other across the street while the rest of town is at church on sunday! It's the finale where Ryan offers Bill a bullet to shoot him with and Bill comes off the adrenaline high and realizes he doesn't want to! I'm obsessed with them!
Slow West:
I've been seeing this in nominations and finally got around to watching it, I went into it not knowing much and had a moment of "oh, this is going to be An Experience isn't it" when I saw the A24 logo. I love Silas/Jay, with Jay not trusting Silas and Silas trying not to get attached, with how close they've gotten by the end of the movie. Jay's dreamy determination and inexperience contrasted with Silas's jaded experience. Sexy. And I love Payne/Silas, their interactions were very "complicated exes". Silas mentions he was lucky to leave the gang and live, maybe Payne didn't try to hunt him down because he likes him too much. Payne's weird little comment about how well Silas has been protecting Jay is interesting too. I don't know! These guys are fucked up and weird and I love that! Feel free to get weird and existential and talk about death if you want!
