Exchange Art References Masterpost WIP: Spaghetti Westerns

Thought I'd just throw various character/actor visual references in one post. Characters are under the relevant fandom heading, actors have their own section. If not noted assume images are from the movie's IMDB photo section, if from another source I'll try to link to it directly, you might get better resolution at the source.

Organization: Movies (alphabetical by English title) with sections for characters  (alphabetical by English character name), and a bottom section for good out of costume photos of actors (alphabetical by name).
  • Death Rides a Horse
  • For a Few Dollars More
  • The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
  • Actors section

Death Rides a Horse

Bill in the process of getting buried in sand, currently up to his shoulders. unhappy about it. shot from between some bad guy's legs.

Misc: interactions, full-length, outfits

This whole interaction....
Bill says "You better shoot me."
Ryan tilts his head with amusement, "Do I have to?"

For a Few Dollars More

Col. Douglas Mortimer (Lee Van Cleef)

Manco-"The Man with No Name" (Clint Eastwood)

Manco, non-squinting, looks 10 years younger

Manco, squinting in the sun, looks 10 years older
Both from IMDB-fascinating how different he looks with or without The Squint deployed.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Angel Eyes/Sentenza (Lee Van Cleef)

Angel Eyes looking menacing in his intro scene, shortly prior to murder.

Angel Eyes looking uneasily around in the final standoff
IMDB
I love how grimy and tired he looks in the final showdown, and yet he still seems to think (at first) that he's got the advantage.

Black and white photo of Angel Eyes smoking. very dramatic.
Source: tumblr..? Can't find a better source for this one. Incredibly cool photo. I put this in the GBU section specifically because it does look like an in character Angel Eyes photo (has the black shirt and Wellington pipe and hair styling from the movie).

Blondie-"The Man with No Name" (Clint Eastwood)

Blondie with his poncho thrown over one shoulder
The classic Blondie Image. Has become the standard spaghetti western cowboy image, even. This version from IMDB. Note the jauntily cocked hips.

Blondie at the beginning of the movie

Blondie asking a (naked, offscreen) Tuco to help him kill Angel Eyes' gang.

Blondie, hatless, looking scruffy
IMDB
I love how he runs the full gauntlet from nicely groomed to increasingly scruffy in this movie.

Tuco Benedicto Pacifico Juan Maria Ramirez (Eli Wallach)

Rotten tomatoes

Tuco in the graveyard standoff.

Tuco interrupted in the bath
I love how simultaneously shocked/offended he looks at being interrupted in the bath. Alarm doesn't even register. Why would Tuco be scared, he's got a gun hidden under the bubbles and his very rude bath-interrupting would-be assassin is busy monologuing.

Tuco in the graveyard standoff, shot showing more of his outfit.

Miscellaneous

Actors

Clint Eastwood

Getty. It is surprisingly hard to find free images of this man online, presumably and counterintuitively because he's so popular?

Couldn't find any shirtless photos unfortunately!

John Phillip Law

black and white photo of a surprisingly non-wooden smile

JPL shirtless with angel wings for Barbarella. Titular character (Jane Fonda) is caressing his pecs

another JPL with angel wings from Barbarella which shows more of him. He's touching fingers with Barbarella in this one. wtf is this movie? should I watch it?

Did they have him in a toupee for this movie..?
